CLO3D training as a freelance womenswear designer
How are we already halfway through November? October disappeared in the blink of an eye, and November seems determined to do the same. It’s been a full (and fulfilling!) few weeks in the studio, working on exciting new projects with some incredibly kind and creative people in the fashion industry. As a freelance fashion designer, I genuinely feel lucky, and grateful to collaborate with such inspiring teams.
This month, I’ve been supporting two established businesses. For one brand, I’ve stepped in as a freelance womenswear designer and I have been developing fresh AW26 dress designs, which has been such a joy and a brilliant opportunity to dive deeper into the inner workings of their range. The second brand have brought me in as a freelance nightwear designer as an extra pair of hands and eyes, working with their team to design AW26 nightwear for the UK high street. It’s been a lovely team to be part of, even remotely, and a great reminder that although I work as a freelance womenswear designer, I really do love the energy of collaboration.
Also I musn’t forget a big achievement for this month. I also wrapped up my CLO3D training this month with Cad for Fashion, something I absolutely loved. I’m so glad I invested the time and money into learning a new skill from such talented instructors. I’m not quite ready to offer it as a service (yet!), as I want to keep practising, but I now have a solid foundation and a list of personal projects to help me keep building confidence. I’ll share more as things develop, I promise.
For now, I’m taking a little proud moment to share my certificate. Isn’t she a beauty? 😊
