These are the powerful themes shaping Autumn/Winter 26/27, as forecasted by WGSN and Coloro, and as a freelance fashion designer, they instantly sparked ideas for me.

I was particularly drawn to the concept of polarisation in colour, whether it's complementary opposites on the colour wheel or the emotional contrast that hues can evoke. It felt like the perfect starting point for a colour-blocked fleece concept. A versatile, expressive layer designed with both functionality and sustainability in mind.

✔️ Recycled polyester fleece - avoiding the use of virgin fibres
✔️ Handy chest and hand-warming pockets - for those chilly coastal walks
✔️ Full-length contrast zip - for an energetic pop of colour
✔️ Playful panel proportions - exploring balance and tension through colour.

I explored several colourways to bring the energy of polarisation to life. This is a design direction I’m excited to continue developing for activewear and sportswear brands - where purpose meets play, and bold choices are grounded in responsible materials.
